Joe Crement, my salesman, is absolutely awesome. He is very knowledgable about the car itself, takes the time to explain everything to you, worked with me on the price, got me a great price on my trade in, and was patient with me as I was in the dealership about 5 different times and asked a LOT of questions. I bought a 2012 Hyundai Sonata hybrid and could not be happier with my new car. I wanted a color that was not on the lot and Joe made it happen quickly and painlessly without hassling me. There was another review on here by a woman buying her car alone, which was my case too, and Joe made the experience great.

Also, Deb (I hope I got her name right) in finance was also extremely helpful and efficient. I really enjoyed working with her on my financing, she knew what she was doing and was able to suggest a better option than what I had originally planned to do. I work in finance too and was impressed with her knowledge of finance and the system.

Overall, it's a VERY good dealership. The only thing I would say to management as a suggestion for improvement is that it seems like some people in the dealership are working REALLY hard and others seem to be standing around chatting every time I'm in. This wouldn't bother me except that I twice found myself waiting to to get questions answered and these same people didn't seem very interested in helping me.

I absolutely recommend going to Rosen for anyone looking for a car though - ask for Joe and you will get taken care of!

He helped expedite the paperwork and administrative process due to a time crunch and I was out the door, in my new car within 2 hours.  What's impressed me more, has been the follow up since my purchase to make sure I'm completely happy with my Elantra. 

What I love most about my Elanta: The rediculously good gas mileage!  I'm averaging 39 mpg between Elgin & Schaumburg in stop/go traffic, which is easily saving me $40 at the gas pump each week over my last vehicle.  That's $160/month in gas savings! 

What I have yet to look forward to:  The peace of mind the warranty provides.

On 9/10 my family made the 6+ hr trip to you Hyundai store to purchase a 2012 Hyundai Elantra.  Frank was our salesperson and he was outstanding - he deserves a 5 .  In fact everyone at the store impressed me during our visit.  We even purchased the extended warranty and protective paint and intierior packages.  We paid for the vehicle with a check and was told by the business manager that as soon as the check clears - we would be sent the title for us to register in Wisconsin.  We expained that we where 1+ hr away from motor vehicle and where told that we would have the title in plenty time and the 30 day temp plate was just in case.  Guess what - times up on the temp plate - check cleared on 9/13 and no title.  My wife has talked to a "Linda" several times and was promised the title priority mailed to her by 10/3 and now today it is supposly going to be overnighted to us to arrive sometime on 10/7.  I listed to one of the conversations my wife had with "Linda" and to be blunt - she was a bitch to my wife.  Using terms like "we do not have to" several times along with an attitude that would talk anyone out of ever doing business with your dealership again I beleive was not right.  So now IF the title comes tommorow my wife has to take time away from work/school and drive to Eau Claire to register the car - 120 miles round trip.  She had been in Eau Claire 7 times during business hours over the last 4 weeks and could have registed the vehicle if Rosen Hyundai would have did what the promised.  One of the days - yesterday - she could of registed the vehicle if "Linda" would have done what she promised a week ago.  I talked to the sales manager today and he assured me that the title will go out today.  He gave me a line of bullshit (company line) that we hold onto the title for 15 days to make sure the check clears.  This is not what we where told when we wrote the check.  We could have paid cash, paid with cashiers check or sent proof that our check went thru at anytime if we knew this was going to happen.  A second issue happened on 9/22 - I was in Superior,WI and had a flat tire.  I used the air pump because there is not spare and it did not work due to a sidewall failure.  I called the 800 Hyundai number and they said they would send a tow truck and it would take 1 hour.  After watching several tow trucks drive by me on the highway for the next 15 minutes I called the dispatched tow truck company and asked about the timetable.  They said "Hyundai" give them ah hour to respond so it was not a priority.  I told them I was on the side of a highway and they showed up within 10 minutes.  The vehicle was towed to Kolar Hyundai and it needed a new tire.  I was told that it would take 1 to 3 days to get a new tire because they did not have one in stock.   I asked if there is anything I could do because I was stranded 2 hrs from home and received a response of "you know you did not buy the Hyundai from us".   They did expedite the tire and I was ready to go the next afternoon.  Are my meals and lodging covered under the warranty because the car was undrivable because it did not have a spare and the dealership did not have a tire?  So after $22,000 we are treated like crap by your support staff, have no spare tire and are wondering if the warranties and verbal promises given by Hyundai and Rosen are worth anything?

I had a great experience here at Rosen Hyundai.  Joe Crement is a very good salesman. Even though they didn't have the exact car that I wanted, he made sure that I had it the very next day. I feel like I got a great deal on my trade, and my new lease and everything that he qouted me, he stuck to it. He made sure that I knew where everything was in the car and made sure i was confortable with it.I am very happy with my new car, and when my lease is up I will be returning to Rosen Hyundai to get another one.Oh, and by the way Joe you get two thumbs up because I am a very satisfied customer. Very un-professional. I had to chase this salesman down to beg to buy a car.He would say I'll call you friday and call me back tues only after I called him back. All communication stopped when I asked for a purchase order. Never received. I spent four weeks trying buy a car from Tony before I purchased a hyundai elsewhere. Your loss, but wasted my time!!!! The purchase of our new car was mostly a pleasant experience.  The sale staff was very courteous, pleasant, knowledgeable, and accommodating.  The time between initial contact and closing of the deal so to speak was on track for having a good buyer/dealer relationship.

Doug was the perfect car salesman.  Very knowledgeable and most helpful and courteous.  The whole experience from beginning to end was very pleasureable and I will definitely recommend him and this dealership to family and friends.

Dropped my car off with Rosen today.  I was underwhelemd by the service I recieved.  I sat by my car for 3-5 minutes while none of the service reps even made eye contact with me to greet me or tell me it'd be a minute.  While working with the rep, he was interrupted numerous times by other employees asking questions.  He would stop mid-sentence with me and talk to the other employees.  I clearly wasn't his top priority.  With this and spending hundreds of dollars to service my car, it doesn't make going to Rosen a pleasant experience.  Hopefully things will be beter when I return this afternoon.

I DID write a review previously.  It's not surprising that it hasn't been posted as it wasn't 'positive' like the others you choose to post.  As indicated in our previous review, we are now forced to forward our concerns to the CEO/President of your company as we have not heard back regarding any effort at correcting the problem.  It truly is disappointing that honesty, integrity, willingness and cooperation is not part of your PR practices and that reporting to the higher-ups has become necessary if we are to see any resolution.  We are not simply GOOD customers 'just venting'.  There is a REAL problem and no one chose to address it.  Ample time had been given for a response and none received.  We had hoped for resolution without naming names and possibly putting careers at jeopardy, particularly with the economy as it is.  However, your lack of interest now forces us to pursue these other options, be it with Rosen, Corporate or writing to local media publications.

P.S.  As a consumer, I would expect to see one or two negative reviews.  Choosing only to post the positive ones puts future clients on alert.  You may want to consider posting random negative ones, including what your company did to resolve the issue.  May make you appear more sincere and realistic.

Both put me at ease with my car buying experience, and they went out of their way to find me the Tucson with the options I wanted. (They were selling like hotcakes!) I never really thought of Hyundai as the type of car I would buy. My son recently bought one out in AZ., so when he recommended I check one out I figured, my son is a smart guy with a college degree and his own successful business, maybe I should take his word for it. I did some online research, developed a list of questions and went to see what Rosen Hyundai of Algonquin had to offer. When I walked in I was greeted by a friendly young man named Sean Strobel. Sean answered all of my questions and when it came time, he offered me more for my trade in than I thought it was worth. My daughter has been a Rosen customer for a few years now and recently called the Service Dept. with an inquiry re: servicing her vehicle.  She spoke w/Joe V. whom I believe is Service Manager and described the problem she was experiencing.  He indicated it sounded like something that may still be under warranty and to bring it in which is the common response when she calls. Hopeful, she made the appt, made arrangements for another driver to shuttle her to and from in the event they needed to keep the car - quite an inconvenience to anyone with todays gas prices but fortunately she had a friend available and willing to accommodate.  When she arrived Joe almost blatantly accused her of being "another one of those" and her concerns were treated somewhat mockingly.  She asked for an explanation of the comment and was told, with a smirk as other dept members stood looking on, that she was just trying to get something done and accuse the manufacturer of faulty parts as to why she was going thru gas so quickly.  She was told many people are doing this (doing WHAT?) in an effort to get something done for better mileage or something.  (We still don't know exactly what the innuendo was not having inherited a single mechanical gene).  He said the fact that her 'check engine' light wasn't on meant there was NO PROBLEM with her fuel injection despite the fact that she was smelling gas and seemingly had a leak, going thru 1/4 tank a DAY rather than per week as she was accustomed to.  To us, it sounded dangerous to drive.  First off, how could he (or WE) have been certain that there wasn't also an electrical problem preventing the check engine light from coming on? Secondly, how DARE you throw out accusations such as this to such an honest, bright, hard-working young woman afraid to drive her car due to the fumes as most people would be. Thirdly, the amount of gas was being measured by the needle on her gas gauge, NOT the $ amount.  You cannot and SHOULD not just ASSUME that everyone coming in is as dishonest as you insinuated her to be.  How many other people do you treat with this much disrespect?  I know of at least 3 others apparently so business must be so good that you can afford to treat people in this manner. A couple of months ago I was at a Goodyear store getting a new battery for my own car.  While there, 3, yes three, different people came into just that store alone asking for service, stating they needed someone to correct or fix the damage after Rosens previous attempt to "honor a warranty" no matter the cost.  WOW!  Red Flags! How many others are out there if 3 people within an hour came to one place seeking satisfactory service?  That in itself was somewhat unnerving to know that "those people" (Rosen) are the ones my daughter was trusting with her vehicle.  Those 3 people I met @ Goodyear will not be returning to Rosen and I can ony hope my daughter will not either.  That is her decision to make but such humiliation and disrespect is not very inviting.  Prior to this experience she seemed relatively happy w/Joe and his team - perhaps why she was so stunned by the allegations. Treating people this way is certainly no way to do business, nor keep clientele.  We are documenting and hopefully I can urge my daughter to submit a letter of complaint to Hyundai's CEO.  I doubt she will because she is TOO nice - unlike the portrait painted by Joe & co.  She, and how many other innocent, concerned car owners entrust their vehicles to your care only to fall victim to such abuse.  What a disappointment.  She is due an apology and superior service in the future should she choose to remain a Rosen customer.

This was my first experience buying a Hyundai. Attention to customer service was good. The sales floor was Very busy on Saturdays but Jasper was quick to offer attention to my family. I got to test drive the model I wanted without any pressure. As soon as my vechicle arrived at the dealer I was called. The finalizing of the deal went smoothly. I purchaseed a used 2006 maxima on 2/11. The experience was not as gleeful as some of the other reviews left on here. For starters, after being assured the quality of their vehicles, this vehicle was left with so many declined repairs, that it made me call every manager to get the problems repaired. Eventhough car has 78,000 miles, I was not looking to spend my car payments on immediate repairs. The used car manager was so rude, it made me call general manager which in turn fixed a couple of the issues found on car. Car was given to me TWICE with gas light on! If you're looking to feel treated like family, not sure this is the place, depending on how your family is.

In 2008, we purchased a new Hyundai Azera, at Rosen. We always had GM cars, but were impressed with the features and value of the Azera, as compared to other cars. Overall, we have been very pleased with the Azera, which is a pleasure to drive.

On this past September 15^th, after noticing a grinding noise in the rear of the car, on stops, I brought the car to your service department. At that point the odometer was showing 24,629 miles. The service advisor told me that I had failed to have the 15,000 mile service performed, during which the brakes would have been inspected, and the calipers would have been cleaned and lubricated, due to the fact that the calipers have a tendency to rust and stick, prematurely wearing out the brakes. After having a technician check the car, I was told that it needed rear brake pads and rotors, and to have the front calipers cleaned and lubricated. The estimate I was given was $530.00, and I was told that it was my responsibility due to the fact that the 15,000 miles inspection had not been done. At that point, I had the choice of authorizing the repairs, or driving it out with the rear brakes worn out, and the rotors damaged. I didn’t have much of a viable choice, other than to authorize the repairs.

When I arrived home, I checked previous service records for our car, and found that when I had the car in to your service department on January 27, 2010, at 18,827 miles, a 27 point inspection was performed by the technician. The brakes were found to be in good condition, and no additional service was suggested to me, leaving me to believe that they were in good working order. I have looked at the owner’s manual, and Rosen’s maintenance recommendations, and found that they both recommend that the brakes be checked at 15,000 miles, but neither states that the calipers must be cleaned and lubricated.  Now, just under 6,000 miles after the inspection, the rear brakes and rotors were worn out, and needed to be replaced. After the work was completed, the service advisor told me that the brakes should be inspected again at 40,000 miles, and that I could expect another 30,000 to 40,000 miles from the front brakes, now that they had been cleaned and lubricated.

 I was a mechanic for a large Chevrolet dealer for 8 years, and operated my own independent auto repair shop for 5 years. I understand that technology has changed considerably since I was in the business; however, the basics have remained the same. The front brakes normally provide at least twice the stopping function as the rears, due to the distribution of weight. This would translate into the rear brakes needing replacement approximately every other time that the fronts are replaced. It also seems unreasonable and very high maintenance to have to clean and lubricate the brake calipers every 15,000 miles. They should reasonably be maintenance free until they need to be replaced due to normal wear, especially if they were found to be in good condition at just a little under 19,000 miles. If in fact the calipers need to be cleaned, and lubricated every 15,000 miles to keep them from seizing, and the rear brakes needed to be replaced long before the fronts, this suggests to me that they are of poor design.       

We were treated very well by our salesman, Doug Howison, when we bought the car, and our service needs had previously been handled courteously, and in a timely manner.  Unfortunately, this situation has left me feeling that I have been taken advantage of, and leaves somewhat of a question in my mind, as to the reliability, and potential high maintenance costs of this car.

If the brakes needed to be replaced due to normal wear, at a reasonable mileage, I would have no problem paying for the repairs. I understand that brakes are wear items, and normally are the owner’s responsibility; however, these obviously wore abnormally, and prematurely, due to malfunction of the calipers.

I usually don't write reviews on local businesses, but I feel this place is worthy of a review. My name is Brad and I've recently bought an Elantra from Rosen in January of 2010. This review will primarily be based on, believe it or not, an honest ethical car salesman. His name was Jasper Cicero. He was a more veteraned man of the car business who understands that repeat business comes from being honest, friendly and very reasonable with price. He presented me with a very fair deal in the very beginning of our discussion. There were no games, and trust me, I've seen about everything from car salesmen. I went to 2 other Hyundai dealers after talking to him, and his price was still the best and he played no games like the others.

I just want to say, the salesmen at Gerald Hyundai in North Aurora have proven to be the typical car salesmen that we've all come to loathe. Their final game was to hold onto my trade-in keys and hide my car in the service bay with the garage doors shut. I at first thought that someone had stolen my car. I went back into the salesroom and they dangled my keys in front of me like a carrot. I followed a new car salesman to the back service bay and he proceeded to speak to me in a demeaning manner and would not open the service bay garage doors to allow me to leave until I caved. I demanded them to let me out and after leaving have never felt more sickened by human behavior in my life. I believe this salesmans name was Mike Hall... looks like a golfer who just stopped into the dealership to screw over someone. He sits at the first desk inside the North door of the sales area. I went there again yesterday to have a coolant leak looked (turned out to be sweat from A/C) at and witnessed a nice older man being harassed in the same way that I was. Anyway, I told him to go to the Algonquin dealer to talk to Jasper and avoid all the B.S. He was excited and wanted to leave, but he couldn't seem to get them to give him his trade-in keys back. I told him they did the same thing to me.

Anyway, I believe that If we find a good, honest, fair, and ethical car salesman, we must make sure that this salesman is rewarded for this behavior .hence me writing this review. Maybe other salesmen may learn from Jasper Cicero. Since purchasing a car from him, my mom and 2 of my dad's friends have bought a car from him, all proclaiming the kindness, fairness, and good price. As I've said, a salesman must understand that being honest and fair is rewarded with repeat business and they will be far more rewarded in the end. Please see this man if you are looking for a Hyundai.

As for the dealership itself, I was very impressed. Everyone was very kind and polite. The dealership is I believe the largest in Northern Illinois, with the biggest stock of cars. They had the blue color of Elantra that I couldn't find anywhere else. The place seems to be run very efficient, as I've used them for my free first oil change already. Free coffee and donuts and free car wash on Saturdays if you buy a car from them. I've spoken to others at the dealer in waiting for my car and seem to be equally impressed with this particular dealership.

I would recommend to anyone who is looking for a great salesman to ask for Jay.  He is a very knowledgeable and honest guy.  I have now bought 2 cars from Jay and as far as I am concerned will never use anyone else.  The whole Rosen experience is the best I have ever had when purchasing a car.  Always friendly people from the salesman to the receptionist.  I must also say that once the car is delivered, and I always use Rosen for service, the service department is the best!!!!  Always immediate and quick service and great service writers and technicians.

WE PURCHASED A 2010 SONATA LIMITED EDITION Demo --  Our initial interest in a Hyundai was because my sister-in-law had already purchased a Sonata and we were able to evaluate her's before going to a dealer. As soon as my wife and I entered the showroom we were greeted by Ray.  He was very courteous and displayed a geniune interest in being helpful.  As we talked, his questions helped us narrow down what was available to us.  Ray then informed us of the dealer inventory on hand and what options we could choose.

Ray brought the vehicle we chose to look over and he answered all of our questions.  Before we left, we made a deposit and felt free to investigate our own financing options.  The next day we talked by phone a couple of times and my decision was to use my Credit Union to finance the loan.

Though Ray wasn't scheduled to work on Tuesday, he agreed to meet at the dealership to complete the transaction.  The entire purchase was completed in just three days!  After arranging for an appointment to have additional options completed, we were able to drive our new car home.

Thus far were are very happy with our decision to purchase from Hyundai of Algonquin.  They are a great group of people and look forward to a long relationship with them.

Tony is terrific. The only negative in our experience of buying a 2011 Hyundai Sonata was that our Internet quote included a line called "Manufacturer's Rebate" for $500. Unfortunately, this was really only a loyalty rebate. We found this to be very misleading and blame the manufacturer for this and not the local salesperson. Other than that, we're excited to be new Hyundai Sonata owners. We bought our daughter a Hyundai Elantra in 2002 and she still owns it with great satisfaction.

My experience was great.  I love my Sonata.  I am a bigger person and had trouble finding a car that was comfortable.  Well, I found it.  My sales person Sean Strobel helped me in and out of car after car until I found the perfect it.  He was like my prince charming placing the glass slipper on my foot.  I have never felt so special after leaving the dealership.  I have since sent in three of my relatives and Sean Helped service them all.  Also, Danny in the shop helped me when I had a flat tire.  He's a real pro.

To be honest I really didn't know if I wanted to buy a new car and especially a Hyundai.  I was looking more at a used cars I found on the internet.  Well after taking the Santa Fe for a test drive and speaking with my very knowable sales man Sean I was convinced that the ONLY decision to make was to buy NEW and BUY Hyundai.  Sean was able to point out all the features and benefits of the Santa Fe in a way I could relate to.  Also, it helped that he was able to keep my payment low.  Being a single mother I felt I could trust him in an otherwise untrusting business.  If only they could have gotten me on Video driving away in my new car.  My ear to ear smile could have been on an electric toothbrush commercial!!!!   Thanks for making this a pleasure Sean!....   Looking Forward, Pat

Mr. Fink did a wonderful job selling me a car, even though I was very picky with what I wanted.  He was very helpful in looking for my perfect color and finding me the right car for me!  He also had plenty of patience while choosing/changing colors.  I was very pleased with my service while purchasing my very first new car!

We were very pleased with the service that we received from Jasper.  He spent a lot of time with us in trying to find the specific car that we wanted. We took awhile to make a decision since we were also looking at other models and comparing everything.  Jasper consistently followed up with us and answered our tons of questions.  We made several visits to the showroom and Jasper made sure that he had the cars with the features and color we were interested in available for us to test drive. He was very patient!  In addition to Jasper we found the entire staff at Rosen helpful and friendly.  We are very excited about the Santa Fe that we purchased.
